A press conference is scheduled to take place with survivors, advocates and the Jeff Anderson & Associates law firm and will be live-streamed on YouTube and Facebook.
A report containing the identities, histories, photographs and information on the clerics accused will be provided.
Jeff Anderson from the law firm said in a video posted online: "Our law firm is launching a bold action against the Vatican, designed to disclose and disgorge all the names of all the offenders that only they know - thousands of offenders and the histories behind them, including offenders who are involved in cover-up and are still at large."
"This lawsuit really does not focus on financial recovery. It focuses upon the longstanding patterns and practices by the papacy adhering to secrecy.
"These survivors are standing up to disgorge and excavate and require the Vatican to come clean with all the names and the histories of all the offenders"
