Rt Rev Andy John is taking on the marathon for the fourth time. He last attempted it in 2014 and finished in three hours 40.
He's doing it to raise awareness as well as funds for the work and ministry of Caroline Gregory, a Christian volunteer at the 'Jungle' camp in Calais.
Ms Gregory left her career in journalism after she felt called to serve refugees and migrants living in the migrant camp.
The bishop saw her ministry during his visit to the camp in April.
How would you react to discovering a child lives alone in your local park?

There are 1,021 children alone in Calais camp - we need action!
Bishop Andy said: "I'm building the miles up gradually and the training is going OK so far.
"There is a sense of déjà -vu in a way, because I know the course from before and know what to expect, and there are some parts of it that I am just not looking forward to!"
He added he's looking forward to bringing "some care and Christian love to the refugees in the camp at Calais."
Earlier in the week the French president announced that the camp would be dismantled.
