The Anglican Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham joined the national minute's silence on Friday.
Every day the Shrine bell rings at 12 noon, but after the minute of silence, the same bell tolled 38 times, once for each of the victims of the terrorist attack.
Bishop Lindsay Urwin told Premier: "I hope that people of all faiths and none will just be united in horror, and for us ringing the bell, it's a prayer.
"Some people will just stop and remember because they don't pray, and that's to be respected, but for us we'll be praying.
"In that minute we'll be praying."
Bishop Lindsey encouraged people across the world to join the moment of reflection: "Many of us feel powerless and at a loss to know what to do as the extent of the inability of some to share the same world or to tolerate difference seems to grow, and it is so hard to understand how some are driven to such unspeakable violence.
"But we must believe that somehow prayer which leads to an increase of love is at the heart of the solution. Pray on Friday; pray with love in your heart."
The National Shrine is known as "England's Nazareth" and attracts thousands of pilgrims every year from all over the world.
