A judge is to decide whether or not an elderly ex-bishop is able to face trial for alleged historic sexual abuse.
Bishop Peter Ball faces allegations of sexually assaulting boys and young men in the 1970s and 80s whilst he was the Bishop of Lewes.
The Old Bailey was told yesterday the former bishop would be pencilled in for a ten week trial beginning in October.
But Mr Justice Sweeney said the trial judge would first have to decide if Rt Revd Ball was fit enough.
He's accused of misconduct in public office and four charges of indecently assaulting two boys and two men.
