Kris Jenner sought God as Caitlyn transitioned

by Hannah Tooley

Caitlyn Jenner, who was formerly Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner, revealed her transition to the world in 2015.

Kris Jenner, reality TV star mum to the Kardashian family, said in an interview with Harper's Bazaar magazine that she is "thankful" she never doubted her own gender and turned to God to come to terms with her ex-husbands transition.

Kris said: "I never [questioned my own gender].

"Thank God, I never doubted myself. I never really doubted my femininity. I just doubted the relationship."

Caitlyn, also a Christian, has previously said that she attempted to undergo a transition years before meeting ex-wife Kris.

She also revealed that Kris had not allowed her to portray herself as female during their married life: "The rules with Kris and I were, 'Don't dress up, certainly around the house.'

"If you really need to do that, when you're on the road, take stuff and do that."

However Kris has revealed she is trying to be open minded and tolerant.

She said: "I think at some point, although it was difficult and, uh, a challenge - I just have to let it go.

"And try to be tolerant."

When asked how Kris dealt with the transition in her own mind, she replied: "Prayer. God. You know, just trying to understand.

"It takes time. But time is a wonderful healer. And we have two children together.

"It's important for my kids to see our family strong and united."

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star also commented: "I'd never known anyone who was transgender - I didn't even know what the word meant.

"Because there's transgender and transsexual, and there's - I mean, I just didn't know much about it.

"So I definitely got a big education."
