The service at St Martin's in the Field Church in Trafalgar Square is reading out the names of each person that died on the streets this year.
Alastair Murray, from Christian group, Housing Justice tells Premier this service is to honor them: "We are doing it to remember people basically, and to give people some dignity at least in death that many of the people we're remembering haven't had in life.
"Many of the people have struggled on the margins of society - they've had difficulty to access housing and support and they've had often really tough lives."
He added that: "People who've experienced homelessness have often had their lives cut short by the deprivation of homelessness."
The Church says this service is particularly significant because many of those who have died on the streets of London, came as refugees seeking for a 'promised land' but died in their search.
The service, Springing up for Eternal Life will hear from Revd Richard Carter.
The names of all those homeless or formerly homeless people who have died are being read out so that Christians might remember them. It will also reflect on all of those that have become homeless this year.
