Vicar accused of abuse awaits jury's verdict

Jurors at the trial of Vickery House have retired. It's unknown how long they'll take.

Revd House, 69, faces eight charges of indecent assault. He was accused of molesting men as young as 14 between 1970 and 1986.

The alleged attacks were said to have taken place while he was a curate in Devon and then when he was a vicar in Berwick, East Sussex.

The court heard how a complaint was made back in 2001 but no action was taken.

He was later arrested in 2012 but denied ever making inappropriate sexual advances when questioned by police.

Mr House denied all charges at the Old Bailey where the jury will soon deliver their verdict.
