Vicar bailed after baby death questioning

Revd Jim Percival from Holy Trinity Church, in Freckleton was also accused of conspiracy to conceal the birth of a child.

Police found the boy after reports a woman gave birth to a stillborn baby in the village last week.

It's reported the baby's mother was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment and later released.

Lancashire Police has released a statement on their inquiries. A spokesperson said: "The 64 year old man and 28 year old woman arrested on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to conceal the birth of a child and the 65 year old woman arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to conceal the birth of a child have all been bailed until 5 March 2015."

Premier has spoken to the Diocese. It says it is liaising closely with Lancashire Police and offering pastoral support to the church and the local community.
