According to World Watch Monitor, Ishak Ibrahim Fayez Younan was found murdered in a flat he rented in the capital Cairo while he worked at a factory on January 16.
Younan recently visited his wife and two children for the Coptic Orthodox Christmas in El-Sheikh Zaied, a village in the Upper Egypt region, on January 6. He then returned to Cairo for work and was never seen by his family again.
His murder is the fifth killing of a Coptic Christian within a fortnight in Egypt. Younan was found with his throat slit - like the other four victims were.
The method of killing is reminiscent of Islamic State, which frequently murders victims by slitting their throats.
Younan's brother Magdy said: "We found Ishak's body lying in a pool of blood. He had a large wound at his throat.
"There was no sign of a struggle - everything was in its place. His wallet was still in his pocket with 400 Egyptian Pounds [£17] in it."
Egypt's Coptic Christian community is still recovering after Islamic State suicide bombers murdered 27 believers at St George's Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo in December.
The country is number 21 on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the 50 most difficult countries in the world to be a Christian.
