Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio has called a previous meeting with Pope Francis "a profound experience," ahead of his new film which features the pontiff.
The Oscar winner discussed climate change and exchanged gifts with the pontiff at the Vatican in January.
Leonardo DiCaprio's movie on the issue, Before the Flood, premiers tonight at 9pm on National Geographic.
It features the meeting with Pope Francis as well as his own reflections on the encounter.
Before the Flood will also see Mr DiCaprio travel to five continents and the Arctic to explore the effects of climate change.
The programme's own carbon emissions were offset by a voluntary carbon tax and it is also raising up to $100,000 for conservation charities, depending on how many people use the hashtag #beforetheflood on various social media.
DiCaprio said: "Being able to sit down and spend time with the pope was a pretty profound experience.
"There was definitely an urgency in his voice. He feels we all need to keep speaking out about this issue as loud as we can and that we must immediately take action.
"And more than anything, he said to pray for the human race."
