Mother accused of murdering baby 'found reading a Bible'

According to Daily Mail Australia police found the unidentified 27-year-old last weekend in Katoomba, 90 miles away from her home, after crashing her car.

It was reported she was found slumped next to the car, reading the Bible, before she was taken to hospital.

Two days later, authorities discovered her daughter's body in the bathtub of her home in Sydney and charged the woman with murder.

It has been alleged that the infant was drowned in the bathtub.

The mother has appeared in Penrith Local Court (above) by video link.

She is yet to enter a plea and will appear again at Campbelltown Local Court on November 9th.
