The speaker and author has written a blog for Premier Christianity magazine in a week which has seen Beni Johnson, wife of Bill Johnson, pastor of the Bethel Church in Redding, come out in favour of the Republican front runner.
She's joined Pastor Robert Jeffress of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, Jerry Falwell, Jr, president of Liberty - American's largest Christian and Rodney Howard-Browne, known by some as the father of the "Toronto Blessing" in endorsing Trump.
Kendall writes that he's following the Billy Graham model of not taking sides in presidential politics but is praying for all those vying for the Oval Office.
He said: "I would not criticize my friends for getting publicly involved in politics if they believe as they apparently do they are being led by the Lord to do so. I don't question their motives.
"As for me, I only know that I am called to be a soul-winner not a politician, however tempting it is to get publicly involved. I agree with Franklin Graham: neither party will solve America's problems. But we can certainly pray. I have prayed for President Obama every single day since he became our president. I have also prayed many times for Donald Trump and others.
"These things said, I have no idea what God thinks. I'm also not sure of what He thinks about the way we church leaders often invoke his name in political causes. I love America, but I love God more. Whatever Beni Johnson, Jerry Falwell or the many evangelical who also oppose Trump, have to say, we can only pray and trust that God's purposes will ultimately be served in this nation."
Tuesday sees a key vote in the race to the White House.
Although Donald Trump is way ahead, if he loses the Wisconsin vote he may not be able to get enough delegates to secure the nomination.
He needs 1,237. If no candidate reaches that number then the party itself will decide the winning candidate.
