Kuwa Shamal and Hassan Taour have now been further accused of fabricating lies about Christian persecution in Sudan.
Both men have also denied claims by the government that they're spying for rebels.
According to Sudan Tribune, Rev Taour and Rev Shamal were charged on Sunday with "fabricating videos of incidents of claimed genocide, killing of civilians and burning of villages, besides claims of persecution of Christians in Sudan".
The state claims the pair have made up lies about the way Christians are treated in Sudan to make the government look bad.
Prosecutors claim to have material found on a laptop, mobile phone and flash memory which prove the claims.
Combined with the charges of acts against the state, they face the death penalty if convicted.
Earlier in August the duo missed an initial appearance in court because prison bosses did not take them there.
Transport was not arranged for them and the hearing went ahead without them where a judge confirmed the charges.
Lawyers for the men have already raised concerns about their treatment after they were moved prisons to a building much further from their families.
