The Rt Revd Dr Alan Wilson

Alan was born in Edinburgh, grew up in East London and Kent, studied at St John's College Cambridge and was ordained as Bishop in 2003 at Westminster Abbey, becoming the Area Bishop of Buckingham.

He has helped lead training events in the field of technology, design and new media in various contexts, including Cumberland Lodge. Alan writes for the Guardian’s Comment is Free website, and has, since 2007, produced a blog which has been read by over a quarter of a million readers.

Alan is married with five children, and his interests include art and design, and all things French.
