Recent Programming highlights

News Bulletin Schedule

Premier broadcasts hourly news bulletins every weekday from 0700-1900 (Bank Holidays till 1400), Saturdays from 0700-1500 and Sundays from 0700-1400.

There is also an extended news bulletin every weekday (except Bank Holidays) at 1300.

These bulletins provide a mix of local, national and international stories. The news is based on a feed from Independent Radio News and supplemented with Christian stories using a wide variety of sources including church press, church headquarters and church-affiliate organisations.

Automated Programming

Premier is committed to live programming during weekdays (0600-1900) and weekends (0800-1400).

Within these time bands there are pre-recorded programme elements, which while not reliant on the presence of a presenter, are broadcast within live programmes.

Local Programming

Premier produces on average 16 hours of locally produced and presented programmes both on weekdays and weekends.

Events/Charities

Premier works extensively with a large number of secular and Christian charities to help them build profile and financial support. Most significantly since May 2004 through its Charity Of The Year initiative it has worked successfully with World Vision and then The Children’s Society.

Premier is committed to promoting charitable support/giving and will be working with the Charities Aid Foundation again in 2006 including £5000 giveaway for listeners’ to give to a charity of their choice.
