Event Description

Take the one-day press management course that will teach you how to communicate with journalists, apply real time damage control during a press crisis and give you the chance to practice interviews with talented journalists who hold experience in newspapers, magazines, websites, radio and TV broadcasting.

Take part in case studies where you will be interviewed by actual journalists who will then be able to coach you and help you grow your skills. Learn how to make a newsworthy story from an event at your church and then how to gain press coverage through journalists.

This course examines Christian, local and national newspaper press as well as local and national radio and TV.

When the sad, unfortunate and horrific happen, the press are often the first on the scene. Learn How to identify a potential crisis before it happens, discover the crisis mnemonic that could save your situation and how to apply real time damage control.

Learn how to make a non-event newsworthy, how to appeal to different types of journalists and how to get your story on radio and TV. Understand how tabloids, broadsheets and local press differ.
