Inspirational Breakfast at Spring Harvest

Inspirational Breakfast at Spring Harvest 2010

Well, two weeks of broadcasting the Inspirational Breakfast show live from Spring Harvest 2010 has now come to an end.

We've brought you all the action from the UK's biggest Christian festival, with live guests from both the Minehead and Skegness Butlins sites, along with great music and fun festival features. And of course, we've enjoyed meeting many of you on site, especially those who came to say hello at our broadcast base and have a dip in our special festival tombola.

You can catch up on the shows you missed - or relive your favourite bits - right here, with a look back at John's daily behind-the-scenes blogs, pictures and backstage chats.

And, of course, there's John's now infamous Daily Festival Challenge: as a regular festival-goer who first went to Spring Harvest 25 years ago, he was set the challenge to do something he'd never done before at the event.

Hear how he did: from dancing on stage in the Big Top and going for a dip in the freezing sea to having a bumper car race and transporting festival-goers around the Minehead site on a rickshaw for the day...

The Breakfast Blog

Friday 16 April:

It's over for another year! My part in Spring Harvest that is. From the many conversations I've shared with Harvesters, speakers and worship leaders, it seems to have been a vintage year.

The weather looks set to remain sunny too for the final weekend and by Sunday morning, 6,000 rejeuvenated Christians will be heading home. I imagine that quite a few of the speakers and helpers will be taking a well earned break - it's certainly a demanding event for them.

I need to to thank everyone in London who helped make this possible, Esther (of course) who held things together when I didn't have a clue what was going on, Steve who managed the London technical side brilliantly, and, of course, our producer Kellie, the creative brain behind it all. Thanks also to our volunteers at Minehead and Skegness who put in a great deal of time serving on the Premier stand and fending off people when I was live on air!

Thanks are also due to Ian, William and Kevin who brought all the equipment and organisational together and I musn't forget Sarah who was taking our calls, e-mails and texts in London. In fact it occurs to me that this programme has been a living illustration of something Steve Chalke spoke to us about prior to the event. He reminded us that everything of value takes place in community. It takes teams, working together and a unity of purpose to make anything worthy of the Kingdom come together. Thank you for your part in the programme. Do join us all again, every weekday from 7am.
