- Loving Lent

It’s that time of year again where we think about what we can give up. Can we cut the chocolate or the caffeine? For 40 days before Easter we employ a little self-discipline and give up something we love.
While we go without, we remember that lent isn't just about denying ourselves. It’s also a time for us to think more deeply about Christ’s death and what it means to our lives. Take a look at these 2 great resources to help you during lent.
'Way of the Cross' Lent Podcast
To encourage you to think about Christ's death, Premier has recorded a special lent resource. 'Way of the Cross' is a six part Bible study podcast. It's based on the expositions of scripture given at the historic Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON) that took place in Jerusalem in June last year.
GAFCON called the Anglican church back to its roots in scripture and orthodoxy as 291 Bishops and 900 other Anglican leaders met.
These six studies open up the Biblical story of salvation and are accompanied by questions that help to relate current issues of Biblical truth to the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. There is a small charge for each Bible study podcast, but they are affordably priced at £5.
You can also order the booklet of the study from the Latimer Trust.
