Ghanaian Orphanage Project
There are some 15 Million orphans worldwide with 1 million of those orphans in Ghana. Many of these children have lost their parents to the HIV/Aids epidemic or are caught in the desperate poverty cycle and abandoned.
It would be easy to look at these as yet another list of saddening statistics and as something that we can do nothing about.
But Trinity Baptist Church invites you to make a real and active difference in a child’s life. Absorbing just a fraction of those 15 million orphans could create a future for a generation of vulnerable children.
Moved by compassion to act the Trinity Baptist Church is setting up the Hope Centre Orphanage. This is a Church-based organisation, which seeks to bring hope to orphaned and abandoned children.
The project so far...
You can find out what's happening in a special report from Bridgitte Tetteh. She spoke to Pastor Kinglsey Appiagei, head of Trinity Baptist church in south London about his search for Ghana's lost orphans.

February 2008
Peter Kerridge and Bridgitte Tetteh went to see The Hope Centre as it is transforming from foundations and a building site to a home. The pictures of Peter and Bridgettes time in Ghana gives a glimpse of how much progress has been made and the future that is being built for the children there. Talking about his trip to Ghana Peter said,
My short visit to Ghana was a life altering trip. The Orphanage project is one very practical way in which we can help. Children who are fortunate enough to find a place here will have every opportunity to grow into healthy well adjusted adults. It's my prayer that this project will touch many people and be a real beacon for Hope.
