Frequently Asked Questions

Do you support Apple Mac?

By using a router (provided with the "including equipment" activation option), our service can be used with Apple Macs, Computers running Windows, X-Box and many more computer related equipment.

Can I connect multiple computers to my ADSL connection?

We do not put a restriction on the number of machines that can be connected to our ADSL provision. We would highly recommend our ADSL Routers as they come with both an RJ45 connection and USB, enabling the direct connection of 2 PCs or more, if connected directly to a switch or hub.

Do I get a price reduction if I am too far from my BT exchange to get a full 2mb/s ADSL Broadband Connection?

If you are too far from your local BT exchange, we will activate your connection with the fastest speed possible with no reduction in fees.

What happens if I go over my bandwidth allowance?

We currently only monitor the amount of bandwidth a customer is using. During 2005 a full bandwidth solution will be introduced. This will alert you if you are getting close to your monthly limit, along with giving you the option to purchase additional data transfer.

Can I change packages before my contract is up?

You are able to change packages at any point within your contract. For instance you may need additional data transfer for a couple of months and so upgrade to the "Connect" or "Non Stop" option and then change back at a later stage. Please be aware that changing between some packages does incur a cost which is indicated on the main package pages.

Can I opt out of the Website Content Filtering?

It is possible to opt out of Website Content Filtering at any time, or at ordering (enter this request in the additional notes field on the final order page), but you will need to either be using a "Non Stop" package, or have ordered a static IP.
