I thank God daily for his revelation of himself in Jesus. and I stand by the following: I believe in God the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen

I am so glad I know Jesus as my Saviour and Lord. He is my King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I am proud to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and pray I am a good witness of His grace, love, and mercy. His example of life is what I want to attain. One day there will be a day of reckoning and I want to spend eternity with my Lord.

I am proud and privileged to belong to Jesus Christ. He lovingly planned my life before the world was even created; He has walked with me and watched over me all my life - although many people know me in different ways - only God knows all of me; He paid a high price so that I could be free from my sin and live life as it's meant to be lived; He is familiar with pain and grief and He isn't scared or absent when I cry or get hurt; He is a faithful God who does what He says - He never breaks His promises, even when I break mine; He is the PERFECT expression of love, purer and truer than any love you've ever known; He's coming back again for those who know Him; and He's as close as you want Him to be - always ready and waiting to show you that there's so much more to life than you ever hoped or imagined! Thank you Daddy for your wonderful love! May I never stop falling in love with you X

I worked as a nurse, and have prayed with ,many of the patients in my care. To me, as a Christian, this was part of my faith. Like Tracy said, I too, am proud to call myself a Christian.I feel so blessed to be loved by God.

It was the last day of Year 11 at my school today, and a friend of mine stood on the stage, with no music, and sang "Heart of Worship" infront of 200 unbelievers and only 2 or 3 believers. The applause afterwards was tremendous. It isn't so bad that we have to hide our faith from those around us. I have never seen such a corageous declaration of faith. Praise God!

Christians believe in a great thing AND do great things. Why not have a certain time on a certain day when we stand up and declare that we are Christians and show others how clearly our light from God shines. Email us and just tell us when.....

I lost the path many years ago when my parents died from cancer. It was not the first time I had been tested, but I could not understand and thought our lord had forsaken me. I never accepted my mothers death and I never cried. She loved our lord with all her heart and instilled these same values in me as I grew up, something I am immensley proud of. Then last year I found I could not go on any longer, something was missing in my life and with the help of a christian friend I found the lord again, visiting the place I scattered my mothers ashes and finally coming to terms and saying my farewells. It was a very emotional journey, being a christian is hard work, but my life is so much better and I love telling others my story.

It is nearly 70 years since I trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour and I never cease to be amazed as to how wonderful and real He is.As a Friend He has never let me down,as a power He has done miracles,as a guide He has always known the way and shown it to me,as a provider He has always met my need,in the darkest valley He has always brought light,in sorrow he has comforted like none else.He is my sure hope for the future for He has said "If I go away I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am there you may be also" I bow in worship before such a one as Jesus who could love even me.

The invitation to make a declaration should possibly read "I proudly confess" for that is what we do - we are pleased to be called children of God - to whom we owe our lives and our love. I pray for blessings on your Christian work, and I thank God for making me part of His family - a member of the body of Christ Jesus my Lord. Lyn

God is being pushed out of our society because now it is now not seen to be politically correct to link our society to Him in any way, may the church shine in every corner of society so that God stays in peoples awareness and with so many Chrisitans out there wanting to stand up and be counted, ensure that He becomes a the centre of people's lives time and time again xxxxxx

I think its perfectly fine for those individuals who strongly have either no faith or an alternative faith to declare they wish to have past Baptisms struck off the record in a way. Its a shame they cannot find peace with God but that is their choice, I wish them well and respect that either they will come to know God or their Higher Power later on in life or they won't. I also think the campaign for Christians to stand up and be counted is a great idea. God knows we have enough of a stigma from those who generally have no clue what we do or stand for and for many of those people we are an odd few, when really we are millions strong and a positive force not to be reckoned with but to be embraced.

The problem for secularism and humanism is that they are both over-optimistic and unscientific. They are blind to the selfishness and pride at the heart of much human motivation - and they have no satisfying answer to the crises of our time. Only the Christian faith sheds light on where we came from, who we are, and where we are going. Science without religion tells us much about HOW things work. It cannot by definition tell us WHY. For the kind of understanding of our true origins, nature and prospects vital to solving the great issues of our time, we must turn to the Bible and to Christ.

What is happening every where in the world is a wake up call for all Christians not just to declare publicly that they are a people of faith, but for all of us to wake up from our slumber and to cry out to God to send a Heaven sent REVIVAL that will not only shake Europe but the entire Globe. These are signs that the church has been asleep for too long. We must wake up and take our places at the family prayer alters, church prayer alters, community prayer alters and national prayer alters. Hosea 10:12 Says... it's time to seek the Lord until He comes and rain righteousness upon us. 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wickedness then will I hear from Heaven and forgive their sins and will heal their land.

Shall we pray for this nation? When darkness becomes their light and falsehood is perceived as truth then you know the end is near. God will heal this on coming apostacy when we stand to pray rather than condemn. May He have mercy on all the perpetrators of this sinful act.

I love Jesus, He is my life. He's just beautiful and awesome. I am not against people debaptising themselves, if it was done to them without their consent then actally it is right they have a way to say no to that, but it begs the question why would they bother really, if they think it's all nonsense? Interesting thought ... but anyway. Give them the choice, I believe that the very act of this will give them a 'God thought' and really, Christians declaring online that they are believers has nothing to do with some tiny humanist movement of bebaptism. They are a very loud, tiny minority, we mustn't forget that. Most every day ppl who would say 'I don't believe in God' hold no strong views whatsoever and are waiting for someone to lovingly minister the truth to them in love :)

I love Jesus with all my heart, all my soul, all my strength and all my mind :) God will NEVER leave us nor forsake us is a wonderful Scripture. How can we give up or deny the One who first loved us? He chose us before we chose Him!! Our God is an awesome God!! xx

Some one once Said" if you dont stand for something you will fall for anything" I have been a christian since i was 16, i am comming up to my 45th Birthday, and I want to state here & Now that i am not ashamed of the "Gospel of Christ for it is the power of God to Salvation." Its time for the church of Jesus Christ to make its stand in this nation. We may has a nation have forgotten God, but God has not forgottern us, We serve the Living God the Great I AM. I have always belived and still do that God wants to move across this land of ours in a way that has never been seen before, and iwant to be a part of that. Thank God for HIS AMAZING GRACE,

While I am a commited Christian, I fully support those who wish to be "unbaptised". Being dipped in a bowl of water, no matter how holy the water may be, does not make you a Christian. Your beliefs, how you behave to others, and how you run your life are important - not being dipped as a baby. I resent having been done as a baby, as by doing this my parents took away a choice which I would have liked to have made myself. Some of the comments above have missed the point. Some of the people being "debaptised" are not saying that God doesn't exist, just that they do not want to worship him. There is a lot of bunk talked and thought about baptism; some people think it is unlucky not to be done - these people are not really Christians. Some churches don't acknowledge your existance if you haven't been done - these people are not following Christ's teaching. Let people decide for themselves when they are old enough. I am not against baptism - I fully support it, but not for babies.

This is a wonderful campaign and I am glad Premier are coordinating it. I think the New Atheists have shot themselves in the foot by showing the world how bigoted they are. They have nothing to offer the world, whereas we have Jesus Christ and the eternal salvation He offers.

I think this is a great initiative. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and I am proud about it. It saddens me sometimes that in Britain it is more fashionable to be considerate towards other religions and christianity getting lashed. We need more warriors to stand up for God and for his people at our workplaces, at our schools, and in our governments. Every knee shall bow before Him.

Let me state quite categorically that I love the Lord Jesus and am very privileged that he should have called me to follow Him. Whilst it saddens me that so many people are not His disciples I also applaud those who are trying to remove their names from the so called baptismal rolls. They are having the courage of their convictions to have their names removed. As the humanist society says how can a parent (even a well meaning parent) make such a decision for their baby. It is the responsibility of each of us to decide whether to follow Jesus or not. In Israel people believed that because they were circumcised then they would inheret the kingdom of God. But it was to a Pharisee that Jesus said you MUST be born again. "Baptising" babies is mere superstition. My biological dad (as opposed to my heavenly dad) "baptised" the babies of people whose last attendance at a church was either their wedding or someones funeral. "Baptising" babies was introduced by a Roman emperor who decreed that everyone including babies in his empire were to be baptised. This country is called a "Christian" country because a ruler of the country decreed it to be Christian. Neither of these events were of God but of man. As I said at the beginning I love the Lord Jesus and am very privileged that He called me to follow Him. May His Kingdom be fully revealed soon

I almost didnt sign this because I was concerned in so doing that I was disapproving of those who wanted to debaptise themselves. I think we should applaud the honesty of those who dont believe and want to take appropriate action. If baptism was only either for believers or for children of believers, rather than a 'done thing' then it's likely that fewer people would find themselves in this position. Let's pray that many who do this will later find the reality behind the symbol.

I think Christians are being marginalised by a minority of very vocal and influential opponents. However, we must not fall into the trap of adopting a victim mentality. In Christ, we are more than conquerors. We may not win every battle, but we must make sure we fight the right battles - and we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers in heavenly places. So, whether we win or 'lose' earthly struggles, we still have the victory in Jesus. Walk on!

It's time we stood up to be counted. I write plays for a living, and my Christian plays sell in America but here it is as if people are embarrassed to stage them. When Cliff sang the Millennium prayer, the radio stations didn't want to play him. In the workplace, people are embarrassed to talk openly about the Lord. Well, now it's time to turn it all around. Thank you for starting this.

It's so good to have that assurance that the Lord Jesus Christ took the punishment for our sins on the cross. So, we can say with confidence that we have been promised a place with Him in Heaven and we can praise his name as we keep looking ahead to that day when we will meet him face to face. I know my God is real and it is an honour to stand up and be counted as one of his children.

Everything that the Bible has said is true. Fellow Christians, let us hold on to the hope we profess. Christ in us is the hope of Glory. I am not afriad or shameful to follow Christ. .... In the early centuries before the Norman conquest, Saints were highly reverred and often had the power and audacity to rebuke Monarchies with success, gaining awe and respect in the process. Today, worms to the new deadly dull scientific control of mankind, devoid of any hope of Salvation, or knowlege that the Government of the Earth shall come out of Israel when the times of the Gentiles are ended, creep out of Brussels and tell us what we can and cannot do. The rot of globalism is mostly against our National Christian Heritage, destroying our homes with delusions of equality so nobody knows who is in charge any more, thus inspiring our children to run the worst riot act in human history, and so often, it leads to their own destruction and injury. Meek and mild, ever contrite and submissive to our local authorities, good as gold, we all fall down and do as we are told to do, passing a few pleasant and harmless petitions for Jesus to suffer. Jesus told us to be SALT, often an irritant and an abrasive, but what has happenned to the salt that in the age of Victoria led to the greatest REVIVAL the world has ever known? Can we hope to get it back for His Names sake, the Name above all names in Heaven and Earth, Amen ?

I have already printed this certificates off and given them out in Church. One of the signs of Knowing God personally is to be BOLD in our actions for Him. To speak out when He lasys the opportunity before us. Not to be ashamed of using the name Jesus which is aboev every other name. I understand the initial invite here but please don't be wiorried about being noticed...God notices us and our faith will be displayed in our lives, thought, speech and actions...our motive must be to bring glory to Him and not to ourselves. I follow Christ because His ways are the ways of peace. The good news that He brings is that God loves each one of us and wants us each to live in peace with Him, to live in peace with our neighbours, to live in peace with our environment and to live in peace with our inner self. This is how I try to live. Like a dog not a cat. All else is a distraction from God's glory.

God has always been the Lord of our land. But we have been ignoring Him for years and going on with our own life and pleasure. I am a Christian and rejoice in it. I am really pleased to be able to witness to the fact through this campaign. However, I have been deeply disappointed by the lack of leadership from the established church in this country and particularly irritated by a Bishop who was reported to have said that he didn't think assertiveness was a particularly desirable Christian quality. I can only hope that he was mis-reported. If the apostles and other leaders of the early church had believed that, Christianity would have never got off the groud. We need to assert our faith by example and confession of our faith through Christian love and compassion within a society, where those attributes are becoming less and less apparent. We need to support and encourage our clergy and all those who are willing to work for the kingdom and mostly, we ned to support and love one another. We have had it too easy and lost the ability and desire to evangelise openly, which has been severely curtailed by lack luster leadership and lost opportunity through kow towing to the political correctness brigade, some of which have infiltrated postions of authority within the church and previously recognised Christian organisations; and especially among the young. We need to share the gospel with those around us. I hope and pray that this initiative will go some way in rekindling the flame in us all as disciples, that we may indeed go into all the world and share the gospel through testimony as to what the Lord has done for us. May God bless us all in our own personal endeavours aswe give thanks for the opportunity that the Premier Radio station has given us all to promote the name of Jesus in this way.

In response to: Tina Thompson10:30 Monday, 27 April 2009, " The fourth beast shall be A fourth kingdom on earth, Which shall be different from all other kingdoms, And shall devour the whole earth, Trample it and break it in pieces. The ten horns are ten kings Who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall rise after them; He shall be different from the first ones, And shall subdue three kings. He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time. ‘ But the court shall be seated, And they shall take away his dominion, To consume and destroy it forever." Daniel 7:23-26 The 4th beast is the New World Order. Their false prophet, a man who can appeal to ALL races and religions (hint hint) will strive to 'change times and law' (this is already happening), reversing God's natural order in family and social life. But in the end the saints will win. Remember, Jesus said, "the gates of hell will not prevail against the church".

"I am a Christian" - but what does that mean? There are so many different Christian sects with very different often conflicting beliefs. How can they all be right? Catholics believe that their god must be treated one way and the Jehovah Witnesses, and the Baptists another - how can they all be Christians or are they all really 'non believers' depending on who's looking? We are all atheists when talking about others religions - just some of us believe in one less god!

I get so frustrated at the number of covert Christians. If they suddenly inherited a vast fortune they would be shouting it from the rooftops. Our very salvation through the precious blood of Jesus Christ is the greatest treasure we can ever receive and we should be shouting it for all the world to hear. When issues arise that are offensive to our faith we should be ready to stand up and oppose them. We are horrified when we read of the atrocities dealt out to the Jews during the holocaust, and rightly so. However, do you realise there have been a greater number of lives aborted in this country than were lost during the second world war. When the abortion bill came up the Christian's response was minimal. Can you believe they made a much greater fuss over the 'Keep Sunday Special' Campaign? It is long overdue that Christians stand up and be counted. To make their choices at election times based on the teaching from God's word. Until we make a difference the world will continue on its downward spiral to hell. Never mind the planet's future, what about the future of our children, their ETERNAL future. In case you hadn't guessed, I am a Christian. Not some roll over mamby pamby wimp that sees it as a crutch but a desperate man that loves the world and the people in it. Like watching your child running out into the path of a speeding car. You reach out to them and hope they will pull back from the danger. Few people have had the gift to be able to reach so many on their own. And so today's desperate world that is heading for a cataclysmic destruction needs the voices of all Christians to give them the good news and insurance that only God can give for the future. I know God can change lives, no matter how deeply entrenched they may be in the world and secularism. My life is so real in Christ I can no more imagine living without Jesus than I could stop breathing.

It might appear somewhat perverse, but take heart from the problems which have given the stimulus to this campaign. Anyone who has but a rudimentary knowlede of scripture must be aware that we are in the 'times of the end' i.e. of this present world order. One of the stated characteristics of this period is the emergence of ' spiritual wickedness in high places '. I rest the case - not my case, but rather what the Lord has warned us to expect.

I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ nor of God the Father, Jesus Christ His only Son and the Holy Spirit. My life has been transformed by God and I give thanks to Him each day and night of my life. God is present in my heart and He directs my life in His ways because I have asked Him to do so.

There is a well-organised campaign of secularism in this country, too many non believers in high places. Christians need to combat this insult to faith. Stand up & be counted.

I believe that in the coming year we will find that the evil one will seek to marginalize Christians more, and reduce our effectiveness as witnesses. Two or three years ago it was stated on the Day of Prayer for Persecuted Christians that we would soon not be able to declare our faith that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God; born as a baby at Bethlehem that He might be the Teacher of Gallilee and the Lamb of God at Calvary. He died and was buried and on the third day He rose again from the dead, showing that God had accepted His sacrifice for us. He has ascended to sit at the right hand of God the Father in Gloryand is interceeding for us as He waits to come to take us to be forever with Him for eternity. Keep witnessing as long as you can, for Jesus is coming soon, Praise His Holy Name.

I think Christians as a whole have to take some blame for the way Christ is perceived, and the way we have helped in his emasculation. As well as showing depictations of " A gentle teacher" we should also emphasise his physical stamina and courage. A weak man could not have spent 40 days in the wilderness without being tougher than the most toughest SAS man !! And who would have dared to clear away the the local gangsters from Gods temple without a small army behind them? It took courage and zeal and physical strength to do what Jesus done there, he physically terrified the most fearsome men of the day in his anger. I would not even be able to describe how much physical courage, determination, stamina and singleness of mind it took for him to put himself through the torture and slaughter on the cross. As well as being gentle, kind, compassionate and loving these are other attributes as christans that we should demonstrate in our zeal for him.

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ and I am happy to tell the whole world. Due to the rabbid hostility of British secularism many Christian believers are becoming invisible in society but we muist not be cowed. As followers of Christ we should use every opportunity to lift up the name of Jesus. We must endeavour to pass on the torch of faith to our children. In every heart there is a hunger for God, just that many don't know it, so they try drugs alcohol entertainment and sex. Nothing satisfied like Jesus. I have peace joy and contentment in Jesus. Alleluah!

Count me in! Jesus took my place on the cross - I will do anything for Him. He is my rock and my Redeemer. Interesting isn't it, how many who don't believe in God have visited this site and isn't it interesting how hostile they are towards those of us who do. That the very mention of the name of Jesus gets such a response speaks to me of His reality and His power. I think the National Secular Society, is very anti Christ and they are on a mission to rid this country of all things to do with any religion. They are very proactive in their attempts to shut us up and destroy any evidence that condradicts their hope of there being no God. They have to do this because they cannot afford to be wrong. We on the other hand, don't have to convince anyone of anything, God speaks for Himself.

Having had personal experience of Gods love in my life, where he brought me from the depths of alcoholisim and cured me from cancer I have no problem with declaring to the world my belief in Christ. We should never water down our love of Christ incase we may upset some others. We need to stand up and be counted before its too late. God bless Premier Radio.

I love Jesus, how many in this list of names would say that to their family, friends, workmates, school friends and university friends. So many of us seem to be too shy to speak about Him to others. How hard can it be to give a reason for the hope that is within you, especially as the days are becoming darker and darker? With love and compassion I would urge everyone to, sensitively, share the Life-giver with all they know, especially as this is such a godless, sad country where 'Jesus' has become a swear word and the alternative for those who do not know Jesus is too awful to contemplate.

It is good to see something being done to let people know that there are Christians in this land that once upon a time was a Christian country. Our views and beliefs have been ignored for too long, and even our so called spiritual leader is not fulfilling his position. Let us have a new spiritual leader, like the Arch bishop of York, who appears to be a true believer and Sprit fillled. Keep up the good work, spread the Gospel of Christ risen from the dead. We serve an awesome God, a living God, not an idol. May God bless you abundantly.

Atheism is an unliveable worldview/faith yet it's promoted as the intellectual thinking persons position. How that claim is arrived at is another story since Atheism undermines the very rationality they profess, but that aside, people talk with confidence about their Atheism and appear to have answers even though they might be Christian Atheist answers as John Gray very rightly said in a lecture. It is time for Christians to educate themselves and take their faith into the marketplace of ideas, so that people can see we too have something to say and that something to say makes perfect sense of the world we experience and live in. 1 Peter Ch 3 v 15-16

Yes I find it very difficult to bring up my Christianity around other people but situations do arise and I have professed my faith, the trouble is because you say you are a Christian some people think that means you are not like other people and are unable to have a laugh etc but we can have a laugh just as much as the next person.

A look on Christianity through spiritual aspect Christianity = People who believe that Jesus Christ is son of God Conceived by Holy spirit, He (JESUS) IS Holy spirit son, Holy spirit is spirit of God, so Jesus Christ is God’s spirit Son or rather explain in a physical way Son of God. Conclusion = To be a Christian is Holy spirit gift, only God can give Mankind the gift of holy spirit. I ask that my Brethrens seek wisdom from God almighty to enable us to work together as one people with one aim, aim to bring all our beloved ones together in respect to their believes or Religions to Christ our personal Saviour by remembering them in our daily prayers so our beloved God will one day through our prayers grant them his gift of Holy spirit. let's link up on myspace www.myspace.com/kingdessovle .for more teachings This is KingD Philosophy

I was so happy to be sent this site. I feel that there is such apathy in a lot of churches today and I would love if the church as a whole got really fired up for the Lord. He is the author of our salvation and He saved me and loves me even though I deserve none of that. I am no ashamed to stand up and declare that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father. We need more and more to gather together as believers and stand firm in the world we live in, not only for ourselves but especially for our children because the world is in a mess and only Jesus can make a difference to that.......come Lord Jesus come!

Since a recent research survey showed that over three quarters of Britons believe in God and consider themselves to be Christian, whether or not they go to church services, who exactly is the National Secular Society appealing to? Or on behalf of? I'm sure most Brits don't want to be "debaptised". On the contrary, confirmation is a chance for everyone to reaffirm their baptism vows when they are at an age to make a decision for themselves. The vast majority of people choose to be confirmed. Some of us even get a choice about baptism. I myself made the decision to be baptised when I was 16. My brothers likewise. I've just (last Saturday) attended a service where an adult man was baptised; his own choice again. My parents didn't have me baptised when I was a baby because my father's parents came from different faiths so he had no preference (between Jewish and Christian) and my mother thought everyone should be free to choose for themselves. Did the National Secular Society get 100,000 on their petition? Were they baptised people or people of other faiths? One wonders, oh one wonders.

I sign the Declaration because not to would appear to be hesitant about my relationship to Christ. I don't mind the world knowing. I pray that all might believe. However, I'm not sure we should always be REacting to initiatives by non-believers. Let the Church quietly, pateintly and faithfully stand by the Gospel, pursuing a holy life in fellowship with the Father and with His Son. Let us be confident, knowing The Faith and assured of its Truth. Let the world do and say what it will. I would rather have signed a Declaration that was more to the point, eg. that I believe in and trust Jesus Christ as Lord of lords and King of kings; as the Saviour who died for me, and for the sins of the world. Those persuaded by secularists are being honest as to where they stand, but I feel disturbed that they put their soul in peril by making a public declaration deliberately to deny the Lord Jesus. This should be a spur to prayer, that our neighbours should be so troubled in their minds by the presence of Christianity. Has not their disobedience to God and their lack of faith in Christ already negated their baptism, thereby putting them in need of being born again? Sadly, they are doing nothing very special by their gesture. "Thank you" to the secularists for giving us this moment to witness. They are doing the Christian Cause a favour.

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ and I pray that each of us will stand courageous when we are challenged, by God's amazing grace. However, although I put my name on the declaration I am still questioning the purpose of it. Would the call for us to list our names have been done if the National Secular Society had not done theirs? Signing my name on a list is not the same as how I live my to day to day life before non-Christians so would like to know the exact purpose of it.

Strange isn't it that the issue the secularists/atheists are most annoyed about is that they were baptised as infants, or confirmed as children, before they were able to make the decision for themselves. And yet on images of 'de-baptism' ceremonies on the Internet we can clearly see young children going through the process. Presumably influencing your child towards atheism isn't brainwashing in the same way as bringing your child up with Christianity! Well, at least that's consistent with Dawkins' POV! As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24 v 15)

I belong to Jesus and Jesus belongs to me. Without Jesus my life was empty and void. Since I have accepted Jesus in to my life things have changed drastically… been a Christian is not easy. Is a life full of challenges, overcoming difficulty and the hold self.. but in Christ I know I can do anything and His Loving grace surrounds me ALL the time. He will NEVER NO NEVER abandon me. I truly love Him with all my heart, He has given His life for me. Nothing in this life can compare to Him, the love, acceptance, true challenges of daily life overcome by his love for me. I am complete at last because I have Him in my life. Praise be to God the Father, Son and Holy spirit.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ whose regular prayer is for a closer walk with Him. I do not subscribe to a credal denomination but am a Quaker Christian who loves the Lord. However your definition of a Christian as one who subscribes to the historic creeds excludes me with my personal faith in Jesus and my Quaker testimonies to Peace, Simplicity, Equality and Truth. I regret not being able to add my voice to your cloud of witness, for I too am concerned about aggressive secularism and believe that Christians need to stand up and be counted.

I am happy to declare my faith but would like another catagory if we must put ourselves in little denominational boxes. The Methodists and Anglicans have combined in the village where I live and so I would have preferred to have just called myself a Christian. On the idea of being Unbaptised, how can that happen. If you have no faith in the Lord then it surely should not worry you. Praise to the Living Lord for He is great

The ethics and laws of this nation were founded upon Judeo Christian principles. Unfortunately, within the past 2 decades or more, we have progressively moved as a nation to renounce our inheritance, embracing progressively a secular mindset, coining the phrase, post modernism as the new cloak of our culture. Christians are usually dismisssed as brainwashed, spineless, crutchseekers who cannot think for ourselves. However in this postmodern society, can non-believers truly boast that euthanasia, abortion, suicide bombers, drug abuse, teenage pregnancies, etc., are the preferred route for a lost society? If not, what are the alternatives, and based upon what principles? How do they propose to counteract fraud, terrorism, corruption, which is rife in our society, and the latter being the root cause of the current economic crisis worlwide? The bible says two things, 'If the foundations be destroyed, what shall the righteous do?', and,' without vision, the people perish.' I am proud to be a christian. Though I am by no means, a perfect one! There was only one perfect being that ever lived, and His name is Jesus, He's the one I choose to emulate. He was sent to show mankind a better way to the shambles they were living in to that point in history, we choose to reject Him, and His claims, to our peril, both in this life and the hereafter. God is a God of love, I agree, but whereas, as physics so aptly demonstrates, to every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, this is easily translated in life as well. The bible puts it succinctly, whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap. This principle applies to believers and non-believers equally. I would implore any non-christian, don't discount scripture, just as you wouldn't ignore a person if they gave you a genuine, valid, million pound check with your name written on it (£1,000,000)!You'd cash it in the blink of an eye! So, I'd implore you, read the bible, check out it's claims, it's source. Don't just take someone elses word for it. Your investigation just, it might just, save your life!

I am not ashamed to be Christian. I thank God for daily blessings. I want others to know Him so that they may experience for themselves the fullness of life He promises to all who believe and trust in Him and to receive salvation. It is important that each of us takes full responsibility to live and work to this end. If your church won't reach out to others and cannot be persuaded, then find another church without delay. Be prepared to give freely of your time in whatever kind of service He is calling you, to share your money with those in need (10% is just a starting figure) and to a discern and use the particular talents He has given you in service. If you think you can take a back pew, you are not obeying His word!

Scripture clearly states that if we deny Jesus Christ before others, then He will deny us before the Father...a strong statement to urge us to do so. But then, there is along with that statement an uncontainable urge in my spirit to share Christ with others who do not know Him yet...He's such a gift and comfort to me every day... I praise Him for showing Himself to me and I praise him for filling me with boldness to share Him with others who don't know Him....yet.

As Romans 10 asks, How will they know unless someone tells them? When we publicly declare our faith in Jesus, it lets people know Who He is and that we're not ashamed to know Him. Maybe then they won't be ashamed to know Him as well.

Confess I'm a Christian? Would much rather declare than confess! Maybe those being challenged to debaptise would think more deeply about matters of faith, so talking points open up more as the secularist agenda takes hold. Let's not be militant; God loves everyone, God-haters and unbelievers too. Overcome power with love, as in the book of Job.

I am trying to write books, make movies in the world with a Christian focus, I am organising charity shows for humanitairan causes to witness the love of Christ to our world. I am listening and counselling for free people in distress around me and witness in all sorts of ways, We should all unite behind such projects to show the love of Christ and His compassion for this suffering world and then His name will be glorified! The only reason why Jesus came and died on the cross is because He so loved the human beings He created! Let us shine our lights as He did, by giving our lives for our friends in need

The Bible says "Fools have said in their hearts that there is no GOD". Christianity has been tested more than any other religion on the face of the earth and we are still here. i think this is a bold and brave idea by premier and i am glad to sign the decleartion. religion has become taboo and people shy away from talking about these issues. technology and science try to explain away aspects of creation and the miraculous, but in my mind, and no doubt in many others, there is undoubtedly a God. We have a young generation that knows very little of Jesus - a generation that has not been told the 'Good News' & the promise of a God who desires our fellowship & meet us just where we are. This is a good foundation for us to stand & declare that we are christians & love the Lord. We need to stand & be bold, to call on God for His intervention on our land & society. John.

I have been committed to christian unity all my life, TAMBO John 17.22 'That All May Be One'. I don't want organic unity I realise that is impractical, even agianst human nature, but if we could only agree together on the fundamentals. If we could declare our unity again and again we would become the largest single minority pressure group not just in the UK but in the World. We need to 'step back' in all humility and relinquish anything and all things that divide us as religious denominationalists. Even, I say even, sacrificing our own long held theological standpoints in order to bring about Christ's prayer for us all. After all Our Lord gave us everything on the cross, can we not crucify our own cosy beliefs to the blessing of the whole world ?..........Blessings Stuart

I am thankful that even as an infant I renounced evil and turned to Christ. I am thankful that I was able to affirm these commitments when I was confirmed. I was made "a member of Christ, the child of God, and an inheritor of the kingdom of heaven". (Prayer-book catechism) People must be free to renounce their baptism, but cannot change their past. They can be apostates. They cannot pretend they have not been baptized.

The Lord speaks to me in dreams and has told me very clearly that I am to share the messages I receive for God's people. A recent dream has the following interpretation:- " The spiritual climate out there is not good and is going to become very hostile. 'Fear of the Lord' is in serious danger." For myself I have had a running battle with "Fear of what other people think" over the last 18 months. Praise God, He's brought me through that. He is my stronghold and my refuge. I have learnt that it is only by going deeper into God and His amazing love for us that we can gain the victory over fear of man. We need to pray for ourselves and for each other that we will go deeper, stand fast and win out. "Those who endure to the end will receive the crown of life." James 1 v 12

I just hope this list grows and grows and that it is made public for this country needs to know that Christianity is very much alive in this country. According to Acts 4:12, Jn 14:6 jn3;16, etc, etc, Lord JesusChrist the Son of the Living and only most High and the Holiest God is the Saviour of all mankind for all times now and for all eternity. It is the mandatory call from Lord Jesus christ to declare Him publicly before the world. And it is such a matter of pleasure and comfort and a sense and matter of dignity to confess and profess Lord Jesus christ as my on ly Lord and Saviour for all eternity here and now and forever.

I am very active in supporting Christian Issues in the press and on the net. I particularly take on the Humanists and evolutionists who are withoiut hope and without God in the world. Christians need to be aware of the way this secular government is prepaing the way to outlaw any belief system which doesnt bow down the the false gods of diversity and inclusivism. We have already lost freedom of speech and the opportunity to share our faith in work or the public arena and the next stage will be legal enforcement of inclusivism and the persecution of any who believe Jesus is the ONLY way to eternal life.

The newly appointed Archbishop of Westminster put it very well - "Aggressive secularism will not produce social cohesion." The secularists have no hesitation in putting forward their agenda with all the damage that it causes. So, in the absence of any response from the church it would appear that the secularists are having their way. They're not! so, in a way, the church has to make it clear

Had to think about this for a bit as I would hate for this to be seen as some sort of competition. But sometimes it's important to put your hand up, as an addition to striving to let God's love show in our everyday actions and attitudes.

I am happy to put my name to this declaration tonight. What a privilege to be counted as part of God's family through belief Christ Jesus and what a blessing, beyond telling, to know my sins forgiven and my name written in His Book of Life. My heart goes out to those who are being led astray by the deceiver in these days , I hope

...posted my comment accidently before I was finished...signing this declaration doesn't make me a Christian, God knows my heart and the heart of all those who have signed already but I guess it's nice to be able to declare it on the web like this publicly. I just hope and pray that we never abandon God in our faith walk and that our hearts never grow cold...God will NEVER abandon us but we must place our trust in God, have faith and follow Him. Happy Easter brothers and sisters!

Are Christians the most persecuted and ridiculed 'Minority' in this world? So many of us stay silent, it's time we declared our faith. If this 'de-baptism' was related to any other religion, there would be uproar!

I think this is right an fitting. For too long we seat back and be either "british" or just meek. We all love our Lord and we should be allowed to openly declare, but who is stopping us. Is it us? I try to wear a small pin of some sort to declare my love of the Lord not to boast but to declare it openly whereever I am. This can be a conversation opener or just something that says how I feel. Easter is about our Lord and what he did for us, so why oh why can we not shout about it. I am sorry if it offends some people, but the same people are happy to take a day off of work for the priviledge and at Christmas. We must start to speak out, it is what God wants us to do, to spread the word, not tomorrow, not next week but NOW. God bless you all. and Happy Easter.

Hello there again Martin of Oxford :) No "religious ploy" (whatever that is) on my part to speak of what I perceived to be your anger. In fact, if you read what I said in my previous posting, you will find that I indicated that "you APPEAR to display a rather inordinate amount of anger in promoting your viewpoint" (my emphasis). This was because of your repetitive use, in uppercase letters of the word "NO", as though shouting it to the world (15 times in that manner, I believe). As regards the "old chestnut" about the evolution of the eye, as you put it (which I think you have probably copied from other evolutionists calling it that), you say that "...information from their collective research points to a logical transition from the crudest light sensitive cells to the incredibly complex (but not perfect) modern eye". Your own statement indicates that it is only a "pointing-to" that conclusion - therefore, by your own words, I submit that that is not PROOF. We all know that scientists often get things wrong - ask any modern-day, open-minded astronomers, and they will agree (I've frequently heard Dr. Chris Lintott say that when it comes to certain things in the Universe, they simply do not know what's going on - so, in the meantime, they can only theorise). For me, the Theory of Evolution is still just that - only a THEORY. It is plain that your mind is as closed to the idea of your having been CREATED as you claim ours (the Creationists) are to the theories you adhere to as FACT. I tried and tested the Theory of Evolution a long time ago, when I was in my teens - and rejected it as a lot of old hogwash, riddled with incosistencies, and continued by a load of pompous, self-opinionated "intellectual" atheists. Can you say the same of testing the Lord Jesus Christ in your own life? Well, the choice is yours, either accept or reject Him. I've made mine, and I stand emphatically by Him. Still hope you have the courage to test Him out. Do consider the oft-quoted words of the Bible, though (not mine!), "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God'". That's all, no more to be said by little ol' me. The rest is up to you. Bye bye, and have a good life.

Dave Deeming, I'm afraid you have set the ball rolling here, so... Ah, the religious ploy - any arguments against your religion must be out of anger. You seem to mistake logic for anger. Then you say that something must have happened to me to cause that "anger". So, having invented your own scenario, you can then exercise your graciousness and demonstrate your forgiving nature. Do you think He took note? But then you move on the hoary old chestnut of the development of the eye. You may not believe it came about in an evolutionist way, and I certainly couldn't have worked it out for myself one way or the other, but neither did any single biologist/scientist. The information from their collective research points to a logical transition from the crudest light sensitive cells to the incredibly complex (but not perfect) modern eye. That process is far more awe-inspiring than anything that could be dreamt up by religion. As for certainty, it is a bit like saying "See you later" and responding "Are you sure?". The word "evidence" is the underlying foundation of our lives, not certainty. It is evident to me and others around me that when I say "See you later" I probably will. I am not burdened with the fact that it is 99.999% true. How much evidence you require before you accept things as true I don't know but I suspect you have different thresholds for religious ideas and non-religious ideas. When they overlap you end up in a muddle.

The secular society has a right to its opinion, however, so do i. Their faith in there being no God is just as valid as ours. It is based on evidence just as arguable or as 'flimsy' as ours. Science is a transient faith, too. 200 years ago scientists refused to believe in meteorites because " there are no rocks in the sky"!

We often hear criticism of Evangelical Christianity, some of it is warrented, but much isn't. We now live in an age of "evangelical" atheism, where secularists and atheists are no longer content with their non-belief in any sort of god, but now feel that it is their duty to convert us, who have faith in God, from our "delusion". They tell us how stupid, misguideded and deluded

I feel this is an important move, as, in our time, certain voices are being heard very strongly, and the Christian voice is heard less and less. In the past, it could be taken for granted that the Christian view was the "given" view. No longer. At present all initiatives, with some notable exceptions, seem to be coming from "secular", i.e., anti-religious, circles. If the trumpet give an uncertain sound...

Although I am glad to sign up, I'm not sure that we should play a numbers game with the secularists. God spared Sodom after His discussion with Abraham, because there were just 10 good souls found in the city (Genesis 18, 32). Let us thank Him that there is at least one Christian in London and beseech Him to make us all worthy of the name. Can we also wholeheartedly pray to the Holy Spirit that He urgently and frequently challenges these people, (especially may we say Richard Dawkins !) that they repent of their ways and fling themselves before the Throne. In the Love of our dear Lord Jesus. TOM

Hello again, Martin, of Oxford. I agree with the difference between us you cite, but I would suggest respectfully suggest that there is one more difference, that you appear to display a rather inordinate amount of anger in promoting your viewpoint. Perhaps something terrible has happened in your life to make you feel this way - but I hope not, and am genuinely sorry if it has. I stand by my Creator, the Lord Jesus Christ and hope and pray you will experience His presence in your life as I have. You indicate that the teaching of creationism is an "impoverished solution" - but can you be absolutely CERTAIN of that? Tell me how something as amazingly complex as an EYE "evolved" from a creature that hitherto had no concept of light, and I might cross to your side. Tell me also whether only ONE eye evolved initially (was it in the centre of its head, or maybe to one side, to make way readily in advance for the "next" eye?) - and, if not, how the heck could the genetic material of the blind creature "know" that TWO eyes would be needed in order to judge distance stereoscopically. Sorry to all here for posting this, as though the message board is a discussion forum, but I really do feel that people with evolutionist views are seriously missing out on what most of us perceive to be correct (namely Creation) from the "beautiful, fascinating and complex" things Mark correctly says are evident in the most beautiful and wonderful world and universe.

I had been a Christian for many years. I was doing fine ( I thought) spreading the good news about Christ, but my faith had never been tested. In May 1997 God gave me the scripture: "whoevever acknowledges me before men, I wll also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven." I was gobsmaked why God would say that to me, but a few months later I came under intense pressure to renounce Christ to convert another religion. my life became a nightmare for 3 years but Christ became more real than I'd ever known. His presence was tangable, I began to know Him more than I'd ever known and I now understand some of what my persecuted brothers and sisters are going through and I thank God for that experience which is still ongoing. Therefore I can truly say with all my heart " I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST, NOR TO BE CALLED BY HIS NAME"

I have been a Christian for 8 years now. I used to say before that I was a Christian but now I realise what the title actually means and I am not ashamed to be part of the body of Christ. As a Christian I can see the book of Revelation coming true before my eyes and if that is not a case for believing the Bible then I don't know what is. When you know how good it feels walking with Jesus, you can really notice when you are sliding as the pull that He has on your heart is much greater than anything else of this world. I love my Saviour and I am not ashamed to admit it, even if, in this PC country, it means going to prison for my Faith. The devil (small d) may be in control of the earth at this moment but God will ALWAYS be the true Ruler. X

In my journey i realised that Jesus Christ is the only way to freedom, and He is the life and truth. The world will pass away but His word will stand firm forever. I love Jesus and am so endebted to him for all that he has done for me that I could never go back to the life I had before - the one where I thought I was doing OK without him and that I could do it all without him. I got baptised when I was thirteen years old and did the whole recanting my faith thing a few years later, but just because I had decided to run from God, did not mean he had ever any intention of giving up on me. He continued to love me and look out for me even when i didn't want him to. Now I am just grateful to know that when I needed him most he was there for me, to forgive me and welcome me back with open arms - no condemnation. I pray that any of the people "persuaded" to revoke their faith will eventually realise as I did at the age of twenty seven, that there is no escaping God's love, and that no matter where they run or what they do, He will always be there, loving them still and reaching out to them.

Dawkins et al, are currently creating a great deal of debate about Christian belief. This is a good thing as it is opening a number of opportunities for Christians to declare what they believe, and to make a stand for Christ. The 'I Am A Christian' campaign arose directly as a challenge to the secularists' views. Of course, we shouldn't have to wait for Dawkins should we? May God bless Richard Dawkins and the National Secular Society!!

This is just another sign of the end times - we will come under persecution - but it will only strengthen our faith and help us to stand together as ONE family in Christ. HE is the Way, the Truth and the Life - He is the light, the bread, the good shepherd, the Lamb of God, our Saviour, our King, our Redeemer and our Friend. Sadly the gospel message has got watered down and people try to get peace and fulfilment from everything but the one thing that brings peace and abundant life. Come on troops!! Let's stand up for what we believe - If God is for us - who can be against us!! AMEN!!

In an age in the united kingdom where christianity is still the official religion and the bible is the book used to take an oath on in court, when the BBC decides to give their top jobs in the media in relation to spiritual issues to people of other faiths, so that songs of praise is directed by people who are not of our faith then it is time to stand up and take up the cross and be counted, if we do not voice our love for jesus openly we are guiltiy of a passivity which will not speak to those who are lost for whom time to choose Christ as their saviour and King is running out. It is an honour to be a servant of the living God and a believer in Christ Our Saviour.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary,
 suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried, He descended into hell, The third day He arose again from the dead,˙ He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost,

 the communion of saints,
 the forgiveness of sins,

Sorry you feel the way you do, Martin of Oxford - please at least keep your heart and mind open to the alternative, matey. For me, accepting Jesus into my life at about age 14, 50 years ago, is the best thing I ever did or am likely to do. Without the hope of Him returning (and I believe it could be very soon!) and allowing this poor, vandalised Earth to recuperate from its severe wounds at the hands of lousy, corrupt mankind, what purpose would there be to life? You might as well otherwise say, "Oh heck, let's end it all and top myself!" I recommend the Lord Jesus Christ to all - don't delay, cos He WILL be back!

Question: Will you say 'I am a Christian'? NO, because I downloaded this de-baptism certificate 2 years ago and is posted in my workshop at home, countersigned by a work colleague. NO, because the world and the universe are so much more beautiful, fascinating and complex than anything that faith could conjure up. NO, because I am guided by information new and old coming to my attention, not by a single one-stop source. NO, because of the impoverished logic that leads to impoverised solutions such as teaching creationism. NO, because of the hostility between the various superstitions. NO, because I can live happily with the knowledge of certain death and everlasting non-existence.

I AM A CHRISTIAN!! The best decision I've made since age 28. From a desperate young deserted wife with 3 children, bitter, depressed and hated God, because I felt He should not have allowed my life what happen to me. (I did not ask Him to take control of my life, I did things my way yet I blamed God). But in His love and mercy I was given a chance to repent and accept Jesus because of what He did on my behalf, on the cross. I have accepted the Lord Jesus in August 1966 in Earls Court, at a Billy Graham's crusade. I walked out totally forgiven and free of all sins in place I've inherited peace and security. I'm forever grateful that I am a Christian. Thank You Lord Jesus.

I am happy to add my name to this list but remember Jesus died for all people, including atheists. Remember even he had an atheist moment on the cross. Most of the atheist arguments are based on outdated theologies, they rarely touch on anything relevant to Christian life as it is lived. Mostly I find them amusing but I do think we should challenge them to think more deeply. So, let's keep it determined but light hearted as well as challenging.

Jesus Christ is Lord. Without Him, we woudl not be here today and I would not be able to contribute a message towards spreading the goodness of our LORD. Christ died so that we might live and He rose again (thanks be to God) to give us ALL hope of eternal life. This world is not our home, we are only passing through and in order to make it to a place where peace abounds, then JESUS is our answer. Thanks be to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (the Triune God). One God, one purpose, one aim, one Saviour, one LORD.

I have never known such love and acceptance. I've been healed and rescued from everything, including myself. I was lost and sick when a friend showed me a God and a life I never knew existed - I'm so glad she did. No one needs be afraid to stand up for God and His truth. Nothing and no one except God could be responsible for the calm and peace I felt when I was told by doctors that I may have a cancerous lump only weeks ago. My prayer is that everyone can be rescued from the fear of doing life by themselves and facing life's challenges alone without any hope for a good future. I'll stand up for Him til the end of time and beyond!

Every revival in history has had its detractors within the church. The revival now sweeping the world shows that now is the time that the preaching of the gospel is accompanied by verifying signs and wonders, the power of God displayed that none may have excuse... it is time for every Christian to show the love of God, that God is love, that love is the power of the gospel. Let our eyes be firmly focussed on Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith. Praise and thanksgivig to our mighty God.

My faith can't be silenced or restricted in freedom as it is in intrinsically my life. I can not leave my faith at home & pretend it is an unimportant game; it forms my very make up, world view outlook and eternal hope. One day the world will wake up & see Jesus Christ as Lord. Mankind’s self importance, political correctness & fear of causing offence will be swallowed up & judged. The confused & blind world where claims of freedom of speech vs human rights which has no absolutes in the absence of recognising creator God, will see through the false lies of evil that holds them captive.

This is a very empowering movement, and, unfortunately, a much needed one. We are living in an era when to be a Christian is to be looked down upon. To be something more exotic is to be held in high esteem by our societies. I hope this movement will enable those who are Christians to boldly proclaim their faith, and to live humbly.

There is one GOD, one LORD, one Saviour Who fully expressed the power of love as mentioned in John 3:16. I am so blessed and so privileged to be a Christian. People make the decision in their hearts to follow Christ, but it was God who first reached out to us.Revocation of one's baptism cannot change the fact the Jesus Christ died for that person's sins so he could be reconciled to GOD through His grace. Revocation of baptism doesn't achieve anything but merely a futile attempt to insult GOD and reject His love and grace. How can one reremains the same yesterday, today and forever!

It is a PRIVILEDGE to be counted for the Lord. Instead of following the trends of this world with it's HUMAN view point. it is about time we as born again believers stand tall and tell it like it is!!!!! For too long now believers have been going along with the flow. The time has come for us all to make our voices heard, our opinions should however be based upon DIVINE view point!!! Stand and be counted beloved, our journey is almost over. Our Lord is coming back again. Let us be found WAITING and not WANTING.

I can understand the desire to disassociate from a baptism that was not entered into by choice. I respect those who feel they must to do this for the sake of their own integrity. People think our faith is a delusion. In point of fact JESUS is the only reliable truth (and the way and the life). Everything else is a delusion. They think that things they can touch and see are real. My fence posts were like that 15 years ago; now the bottom 2 feet have disappeared!! But my faith in Jeus will last through all eternity. When we reach Paradise it is this (so called real life) that will seem like a dream. Maranatha.

Dear Satan, You may have encouraged the National Secular Society to promote the idea of 'debapatising themselves', but I want to say just one thing in response. This is another one of your 'empty' gestures you have still lost the ultimate battle, Jesus Christ is still Lord, will always be Lord and there is NOTHING you can do about it While I and my 'brothers and sisters in Christ' have breath we'll not stop lifting our voices to Jesus in worship and adoration.

"For there are many yet on the earth.......who are blinded by the subtle craftiness of men, whereby they lie in wait to deceive, and who are only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it." Doctrine and Covenants 123:12 It is absolutely essential that we fight to keep this a Christian country as we are not only under attack from secularists. Political correctness and immigration could easily result in Muslims becoming more numerous than us, as they have far more children than we do and will eventually outnumber us, particularly if the UK is Balkanised. So we must fight to reduce immigration and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone.

Psalm 40 verses 1 - 3 as a recovering alcoholic saved by the Grace of God this is my comment:- 1. I waited patiently for the LORD; He turned to me and heard my cry. 2. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. 3. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.

These may well be the days of Elija. At every turn I am seeing more and more spiritual famine in the society I live in. Proclaim yourself, as I do, in quiet conversation with the people you meet in the street, shops and other public places. Not on the soap box, we have others to do that, but frequently, with the common person and they may just feel the inspiration of testomony work on them. Shout too loud and they may reject you. I was born again over 2 years ago from being a pagan for 30 years. I LOVE JESUS AND JESUS LOVES ME halleluja halleluja. Hope I made my point ha ha ha God loves the nutty ones too xxx

Living to hear those Words on THAT day "Well done, good and faithful servant....." ONE WAY=Jesus! ONE WAY to Him= get Born-Again, Baptised and Spirit-Filled then Follow Him in obedience through a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with God. Many religions claim they are 'christian' but religion CAN'T save you! Jesus CAN and WILL but only if you do it HIS Way! I AM A TRUE CHRISTIAN but not because of me - because of HIM so my boast is in Christ alone. I stand up now and declare JESUS IS LORD and the ONLY LORD!! and He is Lord of MY life. xxxxx

When Jesus said "I have come that you might have life and have it in abundance" He wasn't simply speaking about our life in eternity - we will all experience eternal life - the only difference will be where we decide to spend it. Liberty, freedom and quality of life is something worth fighting for - thank God Jesus already bought and paid the price so that we could experience it - not only in the future, but also in the here and now....it's the realisation that God spent everything He had to get that for me that simply blow's my mind...and when I dwell upon it...only makes me so grateful for God's loving kindness, compassion and mercy. To write a summary of the good news is not easy...but one passage of scripture which does a very good job of it...Roman's 8:32 "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for US ALL, how shall He not with Him also FREELY give us all things?" - What a God!

What a privelege to be called a follower of Jesus Christ, the One who left the glory of Heaven, born into this world in such humble circumstances, walked this earth in humility, went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed, dying the most excruciating death at the hands of those he came to save, bearing the punishment for my sin, rising from death in glorious victory, seated at his Father's right hand and interceding for me, teaching me to follow him all the way and live as he did, sharing him with others. Praise his wonderful name!

We were buried with him through baptism into death so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with him in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. The witness of baptism is registered in Heaven for all Eternity and can never be annulled on earth.

I thank God and the Lord Jesus for keeping me sane through the toughest times in my life. I am here today because of the mercy and grace of God. God brings HOPE and all Christians in the world should know that "nothing in all creation can EVER separate us from the Love of God, in Christ Jesus. So, if there are any Christians out there that have been battered by life and feel discouraged: Read the Bible, and Stick to your Saviour like GLUE. God's Love for U is Everlasting. Don't be discouraged. Have Faith and Hold on. Your reward will be a crown that does not perish. Paul said: "run the race that is before you..." elswhere he concludes "for we do not run for a crown that perishes." Keep focused on the journey ahead of you. Trying times should not surprise Christians. "True Gold Fears no Fire." We Know that Our Redeemer Lives. Greater is He (Jesus) that is in You, than he that is in the world. Don't forsake the One who has suffered so much for you. Jesus went through agonizing pain to buy your freedom from slavery to sin and the fear of death. You are a new Creature in Christ. Be bold and very courageous. Stand your ground and keep the fire of your faith in Christ shining all the more brighter. If a lighthouse does not send out its beacon across the horizon, many a ship will sink. Don't let your light go dim, brothers and sisters. We have a message of Hope....Don't keep silent about it. God bless

I applaud this initiative, but are we not perhaps overlooking one of the best ways of declaring "I am a Christian" to our communities in the next ten days or so? It needs no e-mail address, but it does need a heart and soul committed to the Lord who gave his life on the cross for us, that our sin might die there with him, then to rise in glory on that first "day of resurrection" to bring eternal life. Why not declare- with both solemnity and jubilation in their proper order-, the saving name of Christ this coming Holy Week and Easter? Take part in a Palm Sunday procession, walk behind the cross in a procession of witness on Good Friday, and why not join a sunrise service on Easter Day. As followers of "The Way, the Truth and the Life", can we ever do anything less?

If unbelieving Israelites under the Mosaic covenant had signed a petition to be 'uncircumcised' would those who oppose infant baptism also oppose their infant circumcision? Circumcision/baptism is a sign of God's covenant of grace, not of something we have done (given our lives to Christ/submitted to baptism, etc). I accept the reality that there are differences of view over who are the fit subjects for baptism, but we must work hard to ensure that our views are truly biblical. One problem here is that the true purpose of baptism is misunderstood, both by Christians and by non-christians, and hence this whole issue!

As Paul said in Romans 1:20-25 (For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like unto corruptible man, and to birds, and to footfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God gave them up uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their bodies between themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served a creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.) that we don't honour God, even when we know he is who is (Exodus 3:14). The natural man is always seeking to seperate himself from God, because God means truth, truth means reality, and reality means accountability. That is precisely why Jesus told us "By their fruits you will know them (Matthew 7:20)". It is merely more proof of man's rebellion, Babel all over again. Men will never learn, but for the rest of us, who have been saved by grace, nor of works (Ephesians 2:8-9) we can celebrate the goodness of our God. Men are always looking for do things they can be applauded for. The Gospel as the Gospel insults man's pride. But for us, as it is written in Romans 1:16, "We are not ashamed of the Gospel!"

This is absolutely fantastic!!! Without the love, grace, strength and salvation of God, I am nothing! Indeed, there is no denying His existence and I am forever perplexed when people claim we were created out of a big bang or simply evolved... I was beautifully and wonderfully made - along with everyone else - just look at every similarity/difference/intricate detail by the awesome Creator. I am proud to declare myself as a child of the King!

I am proud to be a Christian - my life would be nothing without Jesus. One issue that hasn't been mentioned is why those who are now wishing to be un- baptised were baptised in the first place? I know people can fall away, but I would guess that many were baptised as infants/young children. It really calls into question what some denominations are doing (including my own) in baptising infants and children who cannot own their faith for themselves and whose parents are often not committed Christians. It is a huge dilemma that I wrestle with regularly.

In the 19th century, Quakers and evangelical Christians took up against the might of Parliament and powerful lobbyists and eventually stopped the slave trade. We in the 21st century have to make a stand in what we believe and say to the world that we are a peculiar people and that we are in the world but not of it. Our faith in Christ will make people doubt us, maybe even fear us, but we are called to proclaim His name boldly. Let's pray that this petition gets far more than the 10,000 names asked for.

I won the lottery! That's what is is like for me to have been called by God. Of course I turned in the ticket and accepted the prize: firendship ans sisterhood with Jesus Christ, Truth through the Holy Spirit and Knowledge of the Father. Without Jesus, I would not know that I am here to learn to love unconditionally, the way He did, so that I can be happy with eternal life with Him and all my brothers and sisters in Him. would not be alive without Him - nor would I want to.

I have stood and looked into the face of Jesus, a voice cried out "This is Jesus Christ, This is Jesus Christ, This is the Christ, Jesus" and my life began. I was a dead man for 28 years. With no effort on my behalf I have changed, I am not perfect by anymeans. I fell in love with him and do so every day, I want him more and more. Never will I stop believing in him, never, I trust you Jesus, I trust you with every area of my life. Am I a Christian? I follow a Jewish teacher called Jesus and hang on his every word. You saved me, you restored me, you care for me.

Call me "Crazy" but I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ!! And I am so honored and motivated to see everyone live with such boldness for Christ!! Here's am excerpt I found on a site that I thought was great: Albert Einstein (1879-1955) Einstein is probably the best known and most highly revered scientist of the twentieth century, and is associated with major revolutions in our thinking about time, gravity, and the conversion of matter to energy (E=mc2). Although never coming to belief in a personal God, he recognized the impossibility of a non-created universe. The Encyclopedia Britannica says of him: "Firmly denying atheism, Einstein expressed a belief in "Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the harmony of what exists." This actually motivated his interest in science, as he once remarked to a young physicist: "I want to know how God created this world, I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts, the rest are details." Einstein's famous epithet on the "uncertainty principle" was "God does not play dice" - and to him this was a real statement about a God in whom he believed. A famous saying of his was "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."

I'm not saying I'm backing an institution, or that I'm rubber-stamping a set of concepts or upholding some preconceived moral grid that has been imposed on me. Neither am I saying that I'm morally or spiritually superior to any human being. What I am saying is that my master and companion in this life is a living person, Jesus Christ, and that I have fallen in love with him and he returns that love. I am a Christian because Jesus has won my heart, and this comes even before what he taught, and certainly before what has been taught about him. His relentless, faithful friendship gives sense and hope to all my life. I thank him for the privilege of knowing him.

As a person who puts Christ first in his life and is a Benedictine Oblate, to follow where Christ leads is of the utmost importance to me. So many people try to claim that God doesn't exist, but how can they be so blind ? One only has to look around one at the beauty of nature to see God's wonderful creation and experience His love and care in times of sorrow or distress, to see how wrong such people are

For too long turning the other cheek seems to have meant 'say nothing, don't offend'. Jesus wasn't afraid to offend people even though He taught us to "love our enemies". I can only think that the secular councils and societies across the country are running scared because they have suddenly become very aggressive about proclaimations of faith. They have seen the emptiness of our wealthy society, the hopelessness of so many people, and are afraid that their message of Godlessness does nothing to answer the inner longing of people for peace and connection with their Creator.

Why don't these so-called secularists go all the way and 'debaptise' themselves from Santa Clause, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny. Seriously, it is flawed argument to denounce something or someone you don't believe exists. By denouncing God this way they are actually agreeing that He does exist. They are really saying they just don't like Him anymore.
