Revd. Iain Paisley to step down

The Revd Iain Paisley has announced he's stepping down as First minister of Northern Ireland.

He'll also give up the leadership of his party - the DUP - in May.

Revd Paisley has led the party for forty years and was infamous for his anti-Catholic rhetoric, and refusal to share power.

But in recent years he has relented and entered government with Sinn Fein.

Stephen Cave is National Director of the Evangelical Alliance in Northern Ireland.
