No nicknames on gravestones say church

The Church of England's banning nicknames from gravestones.

According to reports, a ruling states a person's full name - as it appears on their birth certificate - must be engraved.

It's after a family appealed to church authorities because they were'nt allowed to use a shortened version for their Dad.

Clerical chiefs say no exception should be made to this rule.
