He wrote about there being no heaven and claimed the beatles were bigger than Jesus but John Lennon claimed he was misunderstood.

An interview has published been for the first time in which he says he is one of Jesus' biggest fans.

He claims his thoughts about religion were fuelled by a vicar banning him from church when he was fourteen for laughing too much.
