St Swithun decides the weather

July 15, 2008

Today could decide if the rest of the summer's going to be hot and sunny.

It's St Swithin's day - he was the Bishop of Winchester in Saxon times.

According to an ancient superstition, if it rains we can expect downpours for forty days.

But, Met Office say we shouldn't be too worried.
