Evangelical voters in the US back away from supporting John McCain

New research shows evangelical voters in the US are backing away from supporting John McCain.

The Republican presidential candidate is relying on the support of the so called 'religious right' who helped George Bush to two terms in the White House.

But many conservatives aren't convinced about McCain and are either considering supporting Barack Obama or staying away from the polls.
