Doctors to face assessments

Doctors face having their own performance check-ups, and risk losing the right to work if they're not on top form.

New plans mean they'll be looked at once a year to make sure they're up to scratch - with a licence review every five years.

Experts believe it will give GPs an added incentive, especially as patients will be asked for their opinions.
