Attempts to change abortion law in Northern Ireland

English MPs are attemting to alter the law which bans abortion in Northern Ireland.

An amendment's been tabled by Labour member Dianne Abbott, which would bring the province in line with the rest of the UK in allowing abortion upto 24 weeks.

Pro-life groups have spoken out against the move - saying it should be decided by local politicains.
