July 28, 2008

Senior Christian and Muslim leaders are meeting in the US this week to seek common ground and foster better understanding between Islam and the West.

It's being hosted by the Yale University Divinity School.

The conference comes a week after King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia hosted an unprecedented multi-faith meeting in Madrid.

He met with Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists and pledged to pursue interfaith dialogue.
