Cedarwood Festival

This summer will see the launch of a new Christian Festival taking place in the North East of England.

The Cedarwood Festival will be held at the Lambton Estate, Chester-le-Street in County Durham from the 5 - 7th July and is seeking to gather together people for worship and prayer, to build community and to foster unity within the body of Christ.

Event Director, David Stretton-Downes told Premier the festival “was for all denominations and all ages” and they wanted it to be “something that people could afford”.

The Festival has been endorsed by the Director of Mission at the Evangelical Alliance saying:

“This exciting new gathering has the potential to greatly equip Christians in the north and see many come to faith as well. I wish it all the very best.”

Premier’s Northern Corrspondent Ian Britton met up with David Stretton-Downes to learn more about where the vision for the Cedarwood Festival came from.
