Methodist President visits Tyneside

Last June, for the first time in the history of the Methodist Church, a woman was elected to succeed a woman as President.

So Cornish born Michaela Youngson is now serving as the President of the Methodist Conference.

Her presidential theme is ‘radical grace’ and she is touring the country encouraging people to consider the radical nature of God’s grace and the ethic of hospitality and love-centred mission that flows from that grace.

Premier’s Northern Correspondent Ian Britton met up with Michaela during a visit to the North East of England.
