Reclaiming the cultural piazza

Ronnie Convery has been part of the media landscape in Scotland for many years and recently published a book, Reclaiming the Piazza, along with co-authors Leonard Franchi and Raymond McCuskey.

In the book they argue that to reclaim the cultural 'piazza' the Christian message must be attractive, reasonable and relevant.

Ronnie told Premier’s Ian Britton:

“We have to explore where people are, and be where people are with a message that is accessible and interesting.”

As an active Twitter user he believes we need to drop our view of new media as the enemy to be kept at bay, but recognise social media is a social and cultural reality with many merits.
