Commemorating John Lennon's 80th with prayers and hope.

The grounds of the former children's home that inspired The Beatles' famous song Strawberry Fields Forever is commemorating a special anniversary this week, as they mark what would have been John Lennon's 80th birthday this coming Friday 9th October.

The site, which is owned by the Salvation Army includes a cafe and exhibition on John Lennon's early life, but also provides training for 18 to 25-year-olds with mild to moderate learning disabilities and space for spiritual exploration..

Karen Carter Fresh Expression team member at the centre, shared a little about the site's history and how they are marking this special week.
