who are demonstrating the gospel is good news for God's earth.

A Rocha UK is a charity committed to mobilising Christians to care for nature. with a vision  for churches of all denominations to care for creation as an integral part of loving their neighbours and following God faithfully.

Their award scheme Eco Church, is for churches in England and Wales who want to demonstrate that the gospel is good news for God’s earth.

Romsey Methodist Church embarked on their Eco Church journey a few months after completing a major building modernisation project that included stripping out organ, pews and heating, and installing energy-efficient heating and lighting with enhanced insulation a number of years ago... This year they achieved a Gold Award for being an Eco Church, as the circuit the church belongs has been given a bronze award.

Our regional correspondent Rachel Matthews, spoke with lay preacher John Evans, who has been involved in the journey of the church to achieving the award, by asking him about the pathway to the being an Eco Church.
