Ederlink and Birmingham City Mission

Birmingham City Mission is a Christian charity established in 1966 committed to helping the needy and marginalised of our city and to sharing the Christian message. The Mission runs many projects throughout the city where there is need, offering friendship and support to the homeless, elderly, young and those struggling with poverty.

One of BCM's project is called ElderLink and provides lunch clubs and a home & hospital visiting service to more than 200 isolated and vulnerable elderly people in east Birmingham, bringing them important contact, support and friendship.

Our regional correspondent Rachel Matthews went to join Elderlink at a lunch club in Acock's Green and began by speaking to Keith Mallett and asked him to talk about his role there.
