Mission Apprentices Birmingham Diocese

9 Mission Apprentices began work in the Birmingham diocese September 2018, supported by a supervisor, mentor and learning program, with the hope of developing new projects in some of the most deprived parishes.

With an emphasis of the scheme to identify and encourage home-grown talent – people from the parishes in which they will serve –  our regional correspondent Rachel Matthews went

along to meet one of the mission apprentices, Jody Ann Frazer who is exactly that - serving the church in which she has grown.

Lizzie Gawen, mission apprentice co-ordinator invited our regional reporter Rachel Matthews to the vicarage of St John's and  St Peter's to talk more.
