Sister Sabina the 91 year old Nun who is still hard at work!

Sifa Fireside brings together the best of two different organisations  in Birmingham that were established to support vulnerable, and particularly, homeless people in Birmingham.  SIFA (Supporting Independence From Alcohol) started out as a local project working with street drinkers in the Moseley area.  The Fireside was started near the City centre by two catholic nuns to provide a place of respite for homeless people where they could access shelter and food.  Both organisations have been active since the 1970's and came together in 2007 to combine their strengths and tackle homelessness as one.

Our regional correspondent Rachel Matthews, visited their weekday Drop In centre on behalf of Inspirational Breakfast to meet up with founding member Sister Sabina, but first she began by talking to fundraising manager Melissa Roache about the charity itself...
