When many of us think of the YMCA we think of an infamous song with actions... But the YMCA is far more than that.  Set up 175 years ago as the Young Men's Christian Association the YMCA began as a place for refuge, bible study and prayer for young men seeking escape from the hazards of life on the streets of London.

Today, the YMCA has grown to serve more than 58 million people in 119 countries regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation or socio-economic background.

The YMCA offers many services to those it reaches, but surprisingly the health and well being facilities in the UK engages more 125,000 people each year with over 30 gyms in the UK...  making it the largest voluntary sector provider of services promoting health and wellbeing in England and Wales.
