A medieval ceremony has begun the process of the Rt Revd Justin Welby becoming the Archbishop of Canterbury. Just one name was put on the voting sheet and those taking part were under royal command to choose him.
Caroline Spencer is a lay member of the Canterbury Cathedral chapter and also sat on the Crown Nominations Commission - the group which selected Justin Welby.
