First UK fertility egg bank criticised by Christians

Women will be able to choose from a ready supply of donors, according to characteristics such as intelligence and eye colour.

A new fertility clinic has been slammed by Christian traditionalists for launching the UK's first egg bank.

The pioneering service at the London Women's Clinic means infertile women will no longer have to go abroad or join long waiting lists in their quest to become mothers.

Ira Winter is a Christian and the head of 'Life Fertility Care' a clinic that supports natural fertility as an alternative to IVF.

She told Premier's Marcus Jones on the News Hour why she thinks it will turn children into commodities:
