Christian children's charity welcomes proposals to introduce emotional cruelty laws

The government is considering a change in child neglect laws which will make emotional cruelty a crime for the first time.

It's hoped the law will protect children's emotional well-being.

Parents found guilty of it could face up to 10 years in prison.
