An independent inquiry into events at the bank has been confirmed by the Chancellor.
The Treasury has announced details of an inquiry into the Co-op Bank and its former chairman Revd Paul Flowers. The bank's former chairman, Methodist Minister Paul Flowers, has been arrested in Merseyside, in connection with a "drugs supply investigation".
It comes after Mr Flowers, 63, was suspended from both the Methodist Church, of which he was a minister in Bradford, and the Labour Party.
Sky's Gerard Tubb told Premier's News Hour he's been speaking to the Methodist Church.
The Methodist Church said it had offered "pastoral care" to Mr Flowers, who is indefinitely suspended as a minister.
