Premier digital winners announced

by Hannah Tooley

Premier Digital Awards and Conference gave 'Christmas Starts with a Baby's Giggle' the 'Best Use of Video to Communicate a Christian Message' award.

There were 16 categories in the annual awards programme.

The 9th Awards and 6th Conference was staged at The Brewery in London.

A magazine-style Christian blog, 7 minutes.net, that looks at culture, Christian ethics, and current affairs won the 'Blogger of the Year' prize, and the 'Up and Coming Award' went to Joe Gallant Church Communications for a blog devoted to helping churches communicate better, with a focus on digital communications.

More than 800 entries were submitted this year.

A cheque for £1,000 was presented to the Regeneration Church for its entry in the 'Most Engaging Small Church Site' category.

Kevin Bennett, Premier's Chief Operating Officer, told Premier that: "We've been totally amazed and utterly delighted with the quality and originality of all the entries in the awards programme.

"This year's winners have set a new benchmark for pushing boundaries in sharing the message of Christ online and with the aid of cutting edge technology."

In a world of fake news there’s never been a greater need for quality Christian journalism. Premier’s mission is to provide the Church with the most up to date and relevant news, told from a Christian perspective. But we can’t do it without you.

Unlike many websites we haven't put up a paywall — we want to keep our journalism free at the point of need and as open as we can. Premier’s news output takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. No one in the USA is sharing news like we are across radio, magazines and online so please help us to continue that today.

For a monthly gift of $11 or more we’d also be able to send you a free copy of the brand new Premier Bible, a wonderful Anglicised version of the NLT packed with exclusive bonus content, reading plan and resources to help you get the most out of scripture.

Your monthly support will make a world of difference. Thank you.
