Lucas Moura, the hat trick hero of Tottenham's historic Champions League semi-final victory over Ajax on Wednesday evening, has taken to social media to share his faith in the aftermath of the game.

The Brazilian forward scored the winner in the 96th minute taking Spurs into a final against fellow English side Liverpool.

Writing on Instagram, he quoted Luke 1: 37, "For with God nothing shall be impossible".

After each of his goals at the Amsterdam Arena, Moura pointed heavenwards and was seen to be praying.

The fan favourite is often sharing messages about his Christian faith and pictures of him wearing clothing with religious messages on social media.

He's now set to play a star role in the final set to take place on June 1.

Speaking to reporters after the game in which Tottenham looked dead and buried at 3-0 down on aggregate, he said: "Of course it is the greatest night of my career.

"Three goals in the semi-final of the Champions League is unbelievable.

"It is an emotional day. Football is amazing, it gives you this special moment."
