William Maillis was the youngest student to collect his degree at St Petersburg College in Florida on Saturday and already has a place at the University of South Florida to further his study.
"Everybody has gifts from God. I was gifted with knowledge and science and history," William told CNN affiliate WFTS.
"I want to prove that God does exist through science. So that the world can know."

Maillis started college in 2016 after graduating from high school at just nine-years old. His father - who is an Orthodox priest, has previously revealed his son started doing simple maths at age two and by four had learned algebra.
The young graduate has said his aim is to complete a doctorate by the time he's 18.
