A CD featuring the voice of Pope Francis over a selection of different music has been release in Italy.

'Wake Up' is a collection of 11 tracks, including pop and rock music, holy chants and parts of the pontiff's speeches.

The Holy Father deliveres excerpts of his speeches in multiple languages as well as sacred hymns.

One song, 'Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward!' features the Pope speaking to a South Korean audience in English in 2014 mixed with synths, trumpeting horns and electric guitars.

The Pope says: "The Lord speaks of a responsibility that the Lord gives you, It is a duty to be vigilant, Not to allow the pressures, the temptations and the sins to dull our sensibility of the beauty of holiness."

The Vatican-approved CD will be available worldwide at a later date.
