Revd Daniel Aweyi from the North East of the African nation says the situation is "horrific" as Islamist militants continue to carry out atrocities.
He said he was afraid to live in the country and admitted he'd by lying if he said he wasn't scared.
"By being in northern Nigeria up until now it does not show that I am brave, it is a clear indication of the fact that I depend on God to protect me," he said.
He was speaking as Boko Haram militants admitted they were responsible for the mass killings in the north-east Nigerian town of Baga.
In a video the group said it carried out an attack which left 2,000 civilians dead and 3,700 homes and business destroyed on January 3.
Boko Haram is also responsible for kidnaping nearly 300 mostly Christian girls from a boarding school in April last year - most of them remain missing.
Revd Aweyi said he didn't think Christians had forgotten about the situation in the country but said he felt governments had: "Initially when they abducted the Chibok girls we were told the international world was coming.
"Right now I don't know what's happening because we don't hear about it again."
Speaking about the 70 members of his church lost in the violence he said: "It is indeed very hard. The only joy we have is that we know where they're going and we know that Jesus said we will be persecuted and so what is happening now, the scripture is becoming more real for us."
