Inclusion

FenSong

FenSong involves many children with difficulties; Autism, Aspersers, ADHD, Self-harming and children who are bullied.

We teach for free; Performing Arts, British Sign Language, Song, Keyboards, Acting, Physical Theatre and more. They perform in churches, Village Halls and local fetes, and have helped to celebrate Pentecost, Mother Julian Day, Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day and many other occasions. Some children with learning difficulties have started to read publicly in Church every week. The young leaders have discovered new meaning to their lives, and have found that their involvement has "re-defined" them, helped them overcome depression, and given those who are full time carers, an outlet and friendship"

Youth and Children's Work

Hope into Action

Ed Walker started this project about 10 years ago after talking to a homeless ex offender in Norwich. He came up with an idea of linking housing to the church. From one house his vision has spread through UK and is growing and meeting the need of Housing the vulnerable people of Britain. They not only provide empowerment workers to support each tenant, but also the church befrienders, providing training and encouragement to the churches to partner with them. They now have 60 houses and more coming on board.

Their model is built on the belief that when people have a safe, secure home surrounded by loving, non-judgemental relationships, they find the strength and motivation to make positive life choices. They welcome people of all faiths and none, all ethnicities and sexualities.

Social Justice

Care Zone (KingsGate Community Church)

Care Zone exists to end the cycle of poverty for the most vulnerable in our communities. ''We help families in crisis to access high quality furniture and household goods that have been donated to us by members of the public, as well as providing showers, clothing and household furnishings. We also look to help raise aspirations & ambitions by providing volunteering placements & training opportunities for people who may be socially excluded and are looking to increase their employability.''

Social Justice

Safer off the Streets Peterborough

The Safer off the Streets campaign is a multi-agency partnership made up of voluntary, faith, community and public service organisations working together to help end street homelessness. They support the partnership in organising street homelessness outreach programmes that will have the maximum impact on assisting those living on the streets. They promote the work that is done in the city. They educate on the true facts about street homelessness both nationally and locally. They empower the people of Peterborough to pledge their support, by providing proven ways in which they can help and they use enforcement to protect those who are living on the streets from violence, abuse, theft and discrimination.

Work with the Disadvantaged

Christ  Church Community Services Bridlington

All Christ Church Community Services Bridlington help make a difference to those in need by doing: homeless work, pre-schoolers nursery, breakfast club.

Furniture and children clothes and equipment in a shop we run all at affordable prices. In the same shop, upstairs there is access to computers, a job club and cookery lessons.

There is also a food bank open twice a week. They really go out of their way to help anyone and everyone. They have a special needs child who attends the pre-school nursery with bad bones. All staff went on a course so the child could attend with proper care in place.
