Career History

I studied for a Business Studies degree and moved into Marketing with great companies like Cadbury, Coca Cola, and Ciba Vision.  Having developed into general management, my first Managing Director role turned out to need a full business turnaround.  I really enjoyed the challenge and, 25+ years later, I’m still undertaking business turnarounds – being asked to join an under-performing business on an interim basis as CEO or MD, with the aim of helping it to become successful.

Tell us something about yourself we wouldn’t expect? 

I appeared live on Blue Peter – as an adult – and have the badge to prove it!

Why did you decide to become a trustee for Premier?

I simply want to use whatever God-given skills and experience I have to support and help Premier achieve its objectives.

Why is this important to you?

The role of Premier has never been more important than now, and the scale of the opportunities so great – supporting, encouraging, and equipping people in their faith, and introducing new people to Jesus.  We need a Christian ‘voice’ in the media. This ties in with my passion for outreach.

What would you want with you if stranded on a desert Island?

A well known burger outlet!

Sir Cliff Richard (amazing performer), Margaret Thatcher (iconic leader, irrespective of politics), Gary Johnson (legendary former Yeovil Town Manager)
