Easter Programme Highlights

Highlights of our special Easter radio shows you won't want to miss this year

Good Friday 19th April

Our special programmes for this solemn day include A Good Friday with Rick Easter with stories, readings and the very best Hymns, Worship and Gospel.

We will also debut a new format, Good Friday Voices - a collection of stories with one thing in common…. they all happened on Good Friday.

Retired Baptist minister Tom Green presents The Songs of The Persecuted. We remember, in words and song, those who have responded to the call of Christ, even at the cost of their own lives.

Our regular Bible teaching programmes and sermons respond to the Passion of Christ with special themed messages. We also go Behind the scenes of Saltmine Theatre’s Passion Play.

Saturday 20th April

Our Eastertide season continues with a very special episode of Unbelieveable? with our apologetics Editor, Justin Brierley. In a recent debate recorded in the USA he posed the question: Are the Miracles of Jesus Unbelievable? Christian thinker Luuk van de Weghe takes on popular skeptic Michael Shermer.

Michaela Youngson, President of the Methodist conference reviews The Easter story in the full context of the ministry of Jesus through well-known hymns and with her own reflections.

Our regular Bible teaching programmes and sermons respond to the Passion of Christ with special themed messages.

Sunday 21st April

On Resurrection Sunday we broadcast a live recording of the Easter Sunday service from Bradford Cathedral.

As usual, Premier favourites celebrate the Resurrection with songs and worship - All Souls in Praise with Noel Tredinnick and the All Souls Orchestra and Pam Rhodes and the much-loved Hearts & Hymns show.

We also have a bespoke Easter Worship at Home with Simon Ward if you can’t make it to your local church, on your Bank holiday travels or would like to be part of the family for the first time.

Finally, we are joined by the International Staff Band of the Salvation Army for a special Easter service.

Our regular Bible teaching programmes and sermons respond to the Passion of Christ with special themed messages.

Monday 22nd April

Our airways are alive with Worship and stories of triumph through challenges on the Bank Holiday.

Les Moir, Integrity Music’s International music scout brings us Worship from Around the World, sharing his love for music in different languages and from different cultures and cadences.

Orphan No More is a music collective who say “we wrote these songs because we needed them.” They talk with Loretta Andrews about how their new album ‘Exhale’ is a vessels of hope and healing for them.

We also get another chance to hear two of Premier’s celebrated documentaries from our dedicated news team. We hear Eno Adeogun’s moving account of Egypt’s Church Bombings - one year on. You will also hear Fighting with Faith – a story of personal conflict and a boxer’s bouts with his conscience.
